Native Governance Center is a Native-led nonprofit dedicated to assisting Native nations in strengthening their governance systems and capacity to exercise sovereignty.

Native Land Digital honors the sovereignty of all Indigenous nations, their lands, and their waters. We recognize that these boundaries and territories are representations of the sacred.

We respect the rights of Indigenous data sovereignty, and we are committed to an ongoing process of collaboration, growth, and learning.

We work to update and replace information that is a continuation of trauma caused by theft, injustice, misinformation, and ignorance.

'We the People' by Mark Charles

The son of an American woman of Dutch heritage and a Navajo man, Mark Charles offers a unique perspective on three of the most misinterpreted words in American History. Written in the Papal Bulls of the 15th Century, embedded in our founding documents in the 18th Century, codified as legal precedent in the 19th Century and referenced by the Supreme Court in the 20th and 21st Centuries, the Doctrine of Discovery has been used throughout the history of the United States to keep "We the People" from including all the people.

The National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition

Truth, Justice & Healing
The National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS) is the first and only national organization whose purpose is to advocate on behalf of Native peoples impacted by U.S. Indian boarding school policies. We seek truth through education and research, justice through activism and policy advocacy, and healing through programs and traditional gatherings.

The Red Road

For centuries, the United States government’s actions and policies actively sought to eradicate First Nations culture and sovereignty, forcing assimilation in what many historians consider a form of comprehensive cultural genocide. Significant portions of the psychological and physical problems First Nations people experience today — widespread poverty, substance abuse, domestic violence, and chronic health problems at significantly higher rates than non-Native populations — both directly and indirectly resulted from the consequential efforts of the US government. Some of the more extreme means of attempting to erase Indigenous culture included the reservation system, Native American Boarding Schools, and the Native Foster Care program.

Resilience is My Reality as an Indigenous Woman

Bizzy Feekes was a writer, artist, and proud member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. She graduated from Kuyper College in 2019 with a double major in Intercultural Studies and Theology, and a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In 2024, she graduated from Seattle Pacific Seminary with a Master's of Theology in Reconciliation and Intercultural Studies. She passed away in July 2024. Read and Honor her story.

Filmed on locations in Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Saipan, Guam, and Tinian during two trips with six USMC World War II veterans and their family members, the documentary reveals the wartime stories of these heroes as they travel on their journey of remembrance.
